Uber's chief executive bought $10 million of Uber stock on September 10th, 2026. Six days earlier the chief operating officer bought $5.3 million. And three and a half months before either of them, two purchases were disclosed under Nancy Pelosi's name — the largest congressional trades in Uber on our record.

Dara Khosrowshahi bought 141,000 shares at $70.9642 on September 10th, 2026, for $10,005,952. Andrew Macdonald bought 70,000 shares on September 4th, 2026, on a single Form 4 carrying two lines: 54,325 shares at $75.6526 and 15,675 at $76.4425, for $5,308,064 together. Both men filed code P transactions, which means an open-market purchase paid for in cash — not options, not vesting, not a grant.

What the Pelosi disclosure actually says

Two purchases were disclosed under Nancy Pelosi's name, House Democrat of California. The first is dated May 28th, 2026, the second May 29th, 2026. Each sits in the $500,001 to $1,000,000 band, so the pair is worth somewhere between $1,000,002 and $2,000,000. Both were reported on the same day, June 24th, 2026 — twenty-six days after the second purchase, and inside the forty-five-day window the STOCK Act allows.

Congressional disclosure reports bands rather than exact amounts, and it covers a spouse's account as well as the member's own, so what is on file is a household's position and a range, not a share count. What it does pin down is timing and price context. Uber closed at $70.92 on May 28th, 2026 and at $70.40 on May 29th, 2026. At those closes, the disclosed band works out to roughly 14,000 to 28,000 shares across the two days. Volume on the second day was 50.3 million shares against 19.1 million on the first, the heaviest session Uber had traded in that stretch.

Those two purchases stand alone in the congressional record for this stock. Nineteen congressional disclosures name Uber in our data, from five members, going back to April 14th, 2020. Fourteen of the nineteen top out at $15,000. The largest apart from Pelosi's is a $50,001 to $100,000 sale by Cleo Fields on December 10th, 2025. Nothing else reaches the band the two May purchases sit in.

The prices are on the record too. Macdonald paid about $76 on September 4th, 2026. Khosrowshahi paid $70.96 on September 10th, 2026, about 7% lower. And the chief executive's price lands within five cents of where the stock closed on May 28th, 2026, the day of the first Pelosi purchase — three and a half months of trading that ended almost exactly where it began.

The filings also report holdings. Khosrowshahi's Form 4 lists 1,367,100 Uber shares held after the purchase, up from 1,226,100 before it. Macdonald's two lines carry him from 356,320 shares to 410,645 and then to 426,320. Against Uber's market value of about $147 billion, the three disclosed purchases together are a small fraction of the company.

The story now circulating also describes retail traders buying Uber call options, including March 2027 $50 and $100 strikes. Options activity is not in our data. What is in our data is the filing record above: two SEC Form 4 purchases and two congressional disclosures, with dates, share counts, prices and bands as filed.
